My Bio
Hi! My name is Melissa, but, everyone calls me Mim...or Mimi. I love my Min-Pin (Susie), Photography, Music, Running, Cycling, Reading and a ton of other things, but, not necessarily in that order. (Except for Susie, of course!) 
I also love double entendres. A lot, if not most of my picture titles have double meanings. Some people that view them may pick up on what I'm really trying to say immediately, while others--never quite get it. But, that's ok. That's how art is supposed to be. Derive from it your own meanings and interpretations. But, most of all...just enjoy it! Thanks for stopping by my page and if you'd like, take a look through my gallery. *NOTE* Just an update...Susie, my Min-Pin that I spoke of in the first paragraph, died in my arms at 1:50am, Friday morning, 01/29/10 in the ICU at a Vet. Specialty Hospital. I didn't want to change the order of "The things I love" because, she's still the number one and always will be! My heart is broken, but, I know she can see again, and no longer has to take insulin shots twice a day or have her treats spiked with medicine. R.I.P. My Little One!

BROKEN ...
On September 28, 2015 my world was forever changed...
I lost my good friend to "Sudden Death." I am Broken...
There were so many things left unsaid. So many things left undone. So many , "Oh, we can do that another day or another time." Now, every time my phone rings, or every time I get a text or an IM, and expect it to be her...it's not...that familiar beep or ringtone only makes my heart hurt, because I know it will never ever be her again. And, all of those things left unsaid and all of those things that should have been done and weren't...will never be...I keep waiting for the pain

Weighing On My Mind

This past week, I found out that one of my favorite doctor's mother has recently passed away, and that has affected me deeply. Probably more deeply than it should have, but, I'm sure that's due to the recent "close calls" I've had with my own mother and her serious illnesses.
She writes beautifully about her mother on her blog on her website, www.deborahafritzmd.com I found myself leaving the room to get a tissue, then, returning to read some more. :tears: Leaving to get another tissue. :tears: Coming back to continue reading. :tears: Finally, I just brought the whole box into where I had the computer sitting! :shrug: :giggle:
