A Contrast of Colors by mim304 A Contrast of Colors by mim304
A lone Cardinal, stopping by my back deck for a little lunch before enduring the rest of the snowstorm. Several more inches have fallen since this was taken, and more on the way! :ohmygod:

Awhh he's so cute, his feet must be cold!
I love the simple contrast of this, it works so well [:

Thank you! I'm sure his feet were cold! If I remember right, that was a very frigid day here!

Hard to believe I've missed this before! Cardinals are my favourite as we don't have them here!

Really? I've been finding several people on here that tell me that. I didn't realize just how many places they WEREN'T! We used to only have them in the winter. Now, you can see them pretty much year 'round. More frequent in the winter, though. I have bird feeders on my deck, so, I've got a sea of red when I look out my kitchen and dining room windows in the winter!

This is a great shot! I've got both a male and female pair of cardinals around here somewhere, but they are proving to be an incredibly hard subject for me to capture!

Thanks! And, thanks for the :+fav:! :-) I've got so many Cardinals on my back deck since I put my feeders out, that sometimes it looks like a sea of red out there! Never when I have my camera nearby, though! :frustrated:

I am so jealous! We only have maybe one pair at the moment, and they are really good at hiding in the pecan trees!

Thanks, and thanks for the :+fav:. Unfortunately, It's snowing as I'm typing this! They're calling for around 9 inches of snow today or more, another 3 tomorrow and then, another BIG storm later in the week. Pile that on top of what we've already got...and I'm not sure I'll be able to see my house!! :iconwowplz:

Couldn't escape the bills any longer! The mailman left them at my MOTHER's house! Can you believe that??! :pissedoff:
Thanks for the compliment. Yeah, those Cardinals do seem to have a brilliant red coloring this year. Especially against all of that white snow.

Oh well...they would've caught up with me sometime! :giggle: might as well pay 'em on time, as to have a late charge added on, huh?! :ohmygod:
any snow up there yet?? I've been wishing it that way....we've got even more coming on Monday! I can't remember when we've had this much snow...this often, in this part of the country! I wanna go paint my lawn green, just to pretend it's spring!!
