Thank you! Sorry for my late response! I've been a little M.I.A. for awhile! My photos are in the paper on a semi-regular basis, as I'm a "Stringer" for the newspaper, which means, I work for the newspaper taking photos, but, it's still a "big deal" to get the "Front Page" shot!! I was excited!! So...thank you! Again!!
Awwwww .. that's so very kind of you dear Melissa!! Although. you should feel this way no matter who it came from ... I'm nobody special!! But anyway, you are entirely welcome and many s upon you forever!! Lee
Thank you! And, for the , too! I'm a "Stringer" for our local newspaper, so, I quite frequently get pictures in the paper, so, that's really not a "big deal," but, the FRONT page...now, THAT's a big deal! I was pretty excited!
Front page, is a big deal. I was on the front page of a little local paper and I must say the photo they took of me was not very complimentary, but then I guess we are never satisfied with the way we photograph
I saw a full one...all the way across the sky, just about an hour ago, but, too many power lines, buildings, blah, blah, blah...in the way to get a good shot at it! I hate when that happens! How often do you see a all the way across the sky rainbow and then have it ruined by that kinda garbage in the middle of the scene?!! Oh well! At least, I got to view and enjoy it with my own eyes, even if I didn't get to capture it with my camera!
Ahhh! That would be so nice! Ours always come up over our neighbors tobacco field, which is ok, but, the only problem is, it's in the direction of the one and only main road in the area, so, of course there's also going to be power lines and that sort of thing around that always tends to get in the picture. I'm no good at photoshop, even though I've spent the bucks for it! If I'd just sit down and make myself learn it, I'm sure I could figure out how to edit all of that stuff out of the picture, but, that's the hard part...getting me to SIT DOWN long enough to learn it! Maybe...someday!
I do know what you are saying about the powerlines though. One trick in photoshop is to use the scratch removal tool to take out powerlines. I've used it a time or two before to touch up stuff like that.
I grew up on a farm and lived there most of my life. I moved to the city for awhile, because it was so much closer to work, but, I hated it. I never could get used to living so close to everyone else. Even when I moved out of an apartment and into a house...still...the houses were just too close together! And, so noisy in the city! I love the country life! So, I chose to drive the hour and 20 minutes ONE WAY to work every day, and moved back to the farm that I was born and raised on, and built a house there. That's where I'm still at today. Much, MUCH quieter and I'm so much happier here than in the city! I no longer work at that job, so, I don't have that long commute anymore. I did that for 12 years, though. But, I got used to it. It was well worth it, for the peace and quiet. I completely understand your dream of having a farm one day!
